What a Christmas!!

I'm tuckered out! All the excitement, the gifts, the food. I didn't know what to do. I am so blessed to have my family and friends who got me some cool presents. From the Elmo plane (thanks Grandma) to the books to help me read, I am fortunate to have these as part of my play day. Although the Tigger that rolls over that Dad got me is a bit freaky.

Xmas Eve at Grandma's house was a blast, hanging out with my cousins, aunts and uncles. I even got to stay up past my bedtime, waiting for Santa Claus. On Christmas, we got to host at my house and Grandpa helped me and cousin Jacee put together a gingerbread house.

I'm running around now, giving my Mom fits. I love to talk, but still am babbling and saying just a couple of words. Hard to sit still when there is so much to get into. Thank you all for making my second Xmas so much fun.

Halloween 2009

Nolan is enjoying outings like a trip to the pumpkin patch more these days. Channeling his dad's infamous Pooh costume, Nolan stepped out for trick or treating with his cousin Jacee, dressed as Cinderella, and her cooky family.

What a Life

What a busy summer. Grandma Jude rented a beach house on Balboa Island, and a boat for my mom's birthday. Made a quick trip or two to the cabin at Big Bear and just this weekend, we headed to Parker for a Yarnovich weekend at the Baumann's estate.

Come on Ride the Train...

Nolan hopped aboard his first train with cousins Riley and Jacee to Olvera Street in downtown LA. He was also treated to a solo rendition of a popular Mexican tune (top photo) during lunch.

About a Boy

Nolan has taken his first steps and he's pretty mobile right now at the 14-month mark, driving his mom nuts as the curious boy loves to get into stuff, babbles and follows Dakota everywhere. Surprisingly, he doesn't like to watch TV and would rather cruise around. Anyway, here are some recent photos. Enjoy.

Party, Party, Party!

Thanks to everyone who came out for my 1st birthday. I can't believe all the work my mom put into it (check out the backyard!) with help from grandma and my aunties. I was so happy to see my cousins and my friends who had a blast in the Bouncy and played football in the front. Daddy also told me godfather Bill made a sweet brew that had a strange effect on those who drank a lot of it.

All I know is I had my first taste of cake and it tasted so good when it hit my lips. More, please. Thanks for the gifts, they are keeping me busy and making me look so stylish. Onward and upward!

Water Baby

This kid loves the water, even if it's just a hose in his grandma's backyard.

Doggy in the Window

While we were hanging out on the front lawn, Dakota was keeping a watchful eye over us.

Fun Times in Folsom

I braved my first trip on an airplane—and I did good. I slept all the way to Sacramento. I met my future BFFs (and offspring) of my da-dada's best buddies from high school—Kylie is 4 1/2 months and Max is 1 1/2 years (and the godson of my mom and dad). I just wish I had a photo of Max's older brother pushing me on his skateboard on my stomach... I'm not even a year old but I liked it!!!

Mountain Man

It's difficult to tell, but that's Nolan in Big Bear. Hat is a little too small for our growing boy!

Welcome to my Crib

Just a few shots of the room where it all goes down—sleeping, reading, diaper changing. I'd like to give a shout out to my Auntie Sue for the decor, and cousins Owen, Riley, Jacee and Zoe for lending their finger-painting skills to create the animal prints on the wall (with more than a little help from Grandma Jude).

Alone time with Mamma

Mamma always is busy, running off to class or reading manuscripts. She decided to let me help out and I was giving her some advice about how to make the book better.  Of course, I've developed my voice now, constantly babbling, but wonder why no one can understand what I'm saying? I also started exercising, I can crawl and enjoy playing with a long phone cord and chasing Dakota around. Man, is she quick! I can't wait to start walking so I can follow everyone around. For now though, I just cruise around the ottoman as my parents look on.

Rock on!!

Nolan is a little punk--er and enjoys taking a bath in the sink. However, he's outgrown the infant tub so we're stalling to put him in the adult-size arena.  He's pushed past 20 pounds and has found a new favorite food --Cheerios. And boy do they make him happy.

For the Love of Bread

As you can see Nolan has moved on to bigger things. While he has started eating squash, peas and carrots hand-pureed by his Mom, he loves him some foccacia. Nolan has surpassed the 20-pound mark (at least that's what the scale says when Dad holds him) and he's eagerly eyeing the 30-pound weight class.  He's learning to sit up and he's trying to crawl, albeit backwards right now.  And yet for all his eating abilities, there is still no sign of any teeth. Can't imagine what that will be like. Bring on the T-bone!
